ZELMAN BUILDING WINDOW INSTALLATION

i was lucky enough to get the opportunity to design this month's window installation in the zelman building at douglas and st. francis streets here in wichita. while the purpose is to promote this month's event at abode, the platform was also to promote city pride. in particular our historic downtown area.

i wanted to do something different than past months which  by bringing the installation up to the windows rather than trying to fill the entire space with 3D objects. the concept was to use schematic renderings of automobiles and architectural markups as the foundation  for the halftoned images of downtown life layered on top. some of the images include: city buses, tacos gallo's (best taco truck in the city), the orpheum theater, exploration place, dyne quik, and the zelman building itself.

i'm extremely proud of this project. it will be up all month and should definitely be viewed at night when lit up. MANY shouts to joey capadona for doing the install.. i'd never have been able to make it look as pro as he did.

below are also some details of the panels as well as a panel that wasn't used.
